Each piece in the Five Elements Series is an original oil painting created on handcrafted cedar panels, built by the artist from raw materials. Every artwork measures 30” × 40”, is framed in reclaimed barn wood, and finished with a satin polyurethane clear coat to protect the natural beauty of the wood.
Subtle gold symbols are woven throughout each painting. They can be difficult to capture in photographs, but become beautifully visible as the light changes, revealing another layer of meaning within each work.
Each animal represents one of the five elements:
- Horse — Fire
- Eagle — Air
- Wolf — Earth
- Owl — Spirit
- Bear and Cub — Water
Together, the series reflects the interconnectedness of the natural world and the qualities each element embodies. While each painting stands on its own, the five works are designed to be experienced as a complete collection, celebrating the balance, strength, wisdom, and life found in nature.
